1981 BMW R100RT converted to an R100T
This particular paint job is done in urethane
base-coat/clear-coat. The base is DuPont Chroma Base and the
clear is DuPont Chroma Clear. After curing, the clearcoat was
wet-sanded with 2000 grit and then polished to a mirror finish.
This makes for a deep luster and exceptional durability. This
bike is a daily rider and the paint job had been on the road for about
6 months when these pictures were taken. Look pretty good for a
25 year old motorcycle? Yours could look this good, and for
probably a lot less than you might think...
