1984 BMW R65 with Vetter Quicksilver fairing
This particular paint job is done in
base-coat/clear-coat. The base is DuPont Hot Hues "Blue Mood"
covered by DuPont Chroma Clear. After curing, the clearcoat was
wet-sanded with 2000 grit and then polished to a mirror finish.
This makes for a deep luster and exceptional durability. This
bike is a daily rider and the paint job had been on the road for about
2 years when these pictures were taken. Look pretty good for a
22 year old motorcycle? Yours could look this good, and for
probably a lot less than you might think...
